What's Up At Trinity? Welcome to the NEW! IMPROVED! webcam page -- Late spring '06
Thanks to some help from our friend Kevin, we now have a nicely
integrated web page with webcam picture and weather report. We think
this is a great way to keep track of what's happening out the back door
at Trinity.
The old Logitech camera keeps plugging away and the snow level
is decreasing bit-by-bit with each warm day. We removed the upper
snow gauge section a couple of weeks ago, so the gauge is now showing
0 - 10'. (As this is written, about 3.5 feet of snow remain.) This
has been a slower-than-normal melting year, which is good in terms of
the fire season later on this summer.
The new Davis WeatherStation is doing great, as you
can see. There is also a weekly text-based summary available
here and a NOAA daily
Wx summary here.
Snow gauge (middle distance): The top of gauge is 10' tall,
so count down and subtract to figure out the depth. (The marks on the PVC
are 1 foot apart, with double-wide marks at 10' and 5', and a little band
at 7.5'.)
